DJ Spinelli & Assoc. is a professional Disc Jockey service based in Boston, Massachusetts. We've been in business for over 20 years providing entertainment for the Greater Boston area, all of New England and Worldwide (destination weddings).

We're made up of experienced, skilled and equipped entertainers that have performed at all types of events at just about every major hotel, nightclub, banquet and function facility around.

Our experience with people has brought us a long way over the years. We know what to say and what to play. We know that most people don't want a DJ that never stops talking or never talks at all. Our DJs say just enough to keep you and your guests informed and entertained throughout the entire event without going overboard.

As far as the music goes, we've got all the hits - and then some. It's obvious that music is one of the most important aspects of your party, that's why keeping the dance floor alive is what we strive for the most. If it means playing a set of top 40 music for the young people, some disco/dance or rock/alternative music for the middle aged people, or a few waltzes/slow songs for the older folks, so be it. Knowing what music to play and when to play it is what we do best to keep you and your guests happy.

Understandably, searching for the perfect DJ for your event can be strenuous. You may find yourself asking many questions, such as: Will the DJ be on time? Will the DJ be dressed for the occasion? Will the DJ have a variety of music for my guests because they are from the ages 4 to 94? Will the DJ be friendly and polite to my guests? Will the DJ be a lively human and not a preprogrammed robot? Will I be charged a reasonable price so I won't have to withdraw from my 401k to pay for this?

Weddings are our specialty. We will run the entire reception, paying close attention to each and every detail, allowing you to relax and enjoy yourself. We will coordinate all or any of the following requests:

Corporate Events

As with weddings, we specialize in corporate events, e.g., Holiday parties, outings, cruises, clambakes, etc.

We can assist you with raffle ticket/prize give-aways, contests, trivia, lights, uplighting, projectors/screens, wireless microphones, microphone stands, additional sound equipment or anything else that will make your event unforgettable. We can deal with any size company because we are as serious as you are.

Children's Events

Having a party for children or having a large number of children at your party? Don't fret. Just let us know. We'll entertain them with music, dancing, hula hoop/limbo contests, freeze/line dances, musical chairs and all sorts of fun things throughout the event. We can relate well to teens and young adults as well. We'll watch the kids for you!

Music & Sound

We provide music from the 1930s through the Top 40 of today. We have the latest hits, yet we excel in playing all your favorite contemporaries. With thousands of song titles at our disposal, the variety of music is endless. We will play anything you want to hear. Please keep in mind, we use clean radio edits at every event (unless otherwise specified).

Even though all our music is digital, we have CD and cassette capabilities with all our sound systems.

The sound at your party is very important, that's why our systems are regularly serviced and always in best condition. Our sound systems can handle groups as small as fifty or as large as two thousand. Backup systems are available at a moment's notice if the need arises.


Free Equipment Set Up & Break Down

DJ Spinelli & Assoc. does not charge you for any equipment set up or break down time (even though this may take several hours).

Free Consultation

We would love to meet with you before your event! Whether you come to us or we come to you, the time we spend together discussing your event is on us. As far as weddings are concerned, the bride and groom should definitely meet with the Disc Jockey in person before they consider hiring him/her. They should talk in a comfortable, relaxed setting and really have a good feel for just who the DJ is.

Pricing & Availability

Here at DJ Spinelli & Assoc., we base our prices on the “going rate” of other Entertainment/Disc Jockey services in the area. We've done much research on this to see where we “fit in” as far as our rates are concerned. We're not the lowest, nor are we the highest; rather, somewhat “in the middle”.



Weddings:

Wedding celebrations, for the most part, are seasonal here in New England; the most popular months being May, June, August, September, October and November. Obviously, there is greater demand for these celebrations to take place during these months (which directly affects the price).


Wedding prices:

The following prices are for Weddings within 60 miles of Boston. This includes the DJ/MC, the sound system, microphones, music and lights (for the dancing area). There is no charge for drive time or setup/breakdown time.

$300 per hour during the months of May, June, August, September, October and November.

$250 per hour during the months of July and December (with the exception of New Year’s Eve).

$200 per hour during the months of January, February, March and April.

Please note: This above pricing is based on an average Wedding; one that does not include extra sound equipment, uplights, black lights, photo booths, projectors/screens, photographers, videographers, interpreters/translators, etc. Please call us to discuss anything else you would like to have added to your Wedding. If the Wedding is 60 miles or more outside of Boston, an additional charge would apply.

Exceptions: The average Wedding is 5 hours, however, some may be 6 to 8 hours long. That being the case, we'll put together a "discounted price" that wouldn't be by the hour (saving you money).

Extra time: If you decide you need us to stay an extra half hour/hour, an additional charge for that time would apply. The charge for this time would depend on the overall price.



Corporate events:

With corporate events, there are many variables to take into consideration when it comes to pricing.

For example, a “laid back” corporate event could be just playing background music and occasional announcements (while the guests are socializing). The more “common” type however, could be playing music to dance to, taking requests from the guests and interacting with them throughout the event. If it’s the “full blown” type you seek, that could involve all of the above along with trivia, prize giveaways, raffles, dancers, karaoke, casino games, podiums, fog machines, props, extra sound equipment, uplights, black lights, photo booths, projectors/screens, photographers, videographers, interpreters/translators, etc.

All other events (non-wedding/non-corporate events):

Most typical events within 60 miles of Boston will vary between $100 and $200 per hour (depending on the day/month). This always includes the DJ/MC, the sound system, microphones, music and lights (for the dancing area).

Please note: This above pricing is based on an average event; one that does not include extra sound equipment, uplights, black lights, photo booths, projectors/screens, photographers, videographers, interpreters/translators, etc. Please call us to discuss anything else you would like to have added to your event. If the event is 60 miles or more outside of Boston, an additional charge would apply.

Extra time: If you decide you need us to stay an extra half hour/hour, an additional charge for that time would apply. The charge for this time would depend on the overall price.


Since every event is different, prices vary.

The type of event, travel time/distance, the month, the amount of hours, extra sound equipment, uplights, black lights, photo booths, projectors/screens, photographers, videographers, etc., reflect what the price will be. Simply call us and tell us the date of your event, where it is (City/Town, State), how many hours it is and anything else you would need. We will gladly quote you a price based on this information.

There are no hidden charges. The price we quote you is the price we will honor. Availability depends on how many of our Disc Jockeys/Associates are available for that date.
